Meet The Musicians
Jessica Belflower, violinist, lives in Albany, NY. She holds a Master's degree in violin performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University. During her time at CU Boulder, she studied chamber music with the Takacs Quartet. Locally, she frequently performs with the Albany Symphony, Glens Falls Symphony, and Vermont Symphony. She has toured with West Coast with Andrea Bocelli, been featured nationally John Tesh's PBS television special, Piano • Gospel • Dance, and played with orchestras all over the country, including: The Bolshoi Ballet Company, Boulder Philharmonic, Arizona Opera Company, and the Santa Fe Symphony, among others.
Stephani Emery, violist, is a sought after chamber music player and has toured with orchestras and chamber groups throughout Europe and the United States. She currently divides her performance time as Assistant Principal Violist with the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra, and Principal and Assistant Principal violist with such groups as the Orchestra Santa Monica, Schenectady, Catskill, and Skidmore College Orchestras. She is currently the Personnel Contractor for the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra. Originally from California, Mrs. Emery now resides in Saratoga Springs, NY with her husband, Michael. She teaches viola and violin in her studios in Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs. Mrs. Emery is Professor of Violin and Viola, and Music Director of the String Ensemble at the Adirondack Community College in Glens Falls, NY.
Alyson Slack, violinist, has worked as a professional violinist in Charleston, South Carolina; Washington, D.C.; Seoul, Korea; and now New York's Capital Region. Local groups she frequently plays with include the Catskill Symphony, Glens Falls Symphony, Schenectady Symphony, and Cohoes Music Hall. Aly plays old-time Appalachian fiddle in her less serious moments.
André Laurent O'Neil, cellist, concertizes up and down the East Coast and across the Atlantic. He also plays piano and viola da gamba and composes. As a member of the early music ensemble New Trinity Baroque, André has performed in Atlanta, Charleston, London, Stockholm, Belgrade and Zagreb, as well as in smaller cities in the USA, Serbia, Croatia and Finland. He is a featured soloist on their Vivaldi Concertos CD and is currently editing a CD of Bach’s solo cello suites. André has also worked and toured with the Italian ensemble Il Rossignolo in Belgrade and Mexico City, and with Boston's Handel and Haydn Society. He grew up and lives in Albany, and collaborates with many local chamber groups, including Capitol Chamber Artists, Musicians of Ma’alwyck, Bennington Baroque, Empire Baroque, and the St. Rose Camerata.
